_THESE ARE THE THREE SONS OF NOAH: AND OF THEM WAS THE WHOLE EARTH OVERSPREAD._ These are the three sons of Noah. It is here expressly affirmed that the whole population of the world, in all subsequent ages, radiated from one center, sprang from one family, the members of which were the only survivors of the pre-Noachidae, who to a man were destroyed by the flood. AND OF (FROM) THEM WAS THE WHOLE EARTH OVERSPREAD - literally, dispersed itself. The "earth" here means the inhabitants of the earth (cf. Genesis 10:25; Genesis 11:1)....

THREE SONS—OF THEM WAS THE WHOLE EARTH OVERSPREAD— Three things may be observed from this. 1. That though Noah lived three hundred years after he came out of the ark, yet he begat no more children; or, if he did, none of them lived to have any posterity. 2.
