_FOR THE KINGDOM IS THE LORD'S: AND HE IS THE GOVERNOR AMONG THE NATIONS._ The kingdom is the Lord's - though for a time Satan, on account of man's sin, usurps it as "prince of the world." What God really is, He must of necessity soon be acknowledged to be. That consummation shall be when Christ shall be manifested as "King of kings and Lord of lords" (Revelation 19:11)....

All our praises must refer to the work of redemption. The suffering of the Redeemer was graciously accepted as a full satisfaction for sin. FOR THE KINGDOM IS THE LORD’S - The dominion belongs of right to Yahweh, the true God. See Matthew 6:13; Psalms 47:7. AND HE IS THE GOVERNOR AMONG THE NATIONS - He is the rightful governor or ruler among the nations. This is an assertion of the absolute right of Yahweh to reign over the nations of the earth, and the expression of an assurance on the part of the Messiah that, as the consequence of his work, this empire of Yahweh over the nations would be actually established.
