A Priestly Duty 30. _the sons of the priests_ This phrase means merely "members of the priesthood, priests." Cp. 2 Chronicles 25:13, "the soldiers of the army" (lit. "the sons of the troop") and the common expression "the sons of the prophets." _the ointment_ R.V. THE CONFECTION. See Exodus 30:23-25. This "ointment" was peculiarly holy.
