The reading pro.j tou.j po,daj (in the description of Mary’s falling at Jesus’ feet) is supported by early and diverse attestation (î⁷⁵ a B C* D L W X Y ¦¹ 33 al); other witnesses (including î⁶⁶ A C³ G D Q L P ¦¹³ al) read eivj tou.j po,daj. Although the latter expression is admittedly strange, and therefore likely to be altered, a majority of the Committee was impressed by the superior external evidence supporting pro.j tou.j po,daj.
