By the resurrection] As His words and works marked Him out as more than mere man (cp. Matthew 16:16), so did the Resurrection. Notice the confidence and the emphasis with which the apostles proclaimed the Resurrection of Christ as being a certain fact, and as proving the truth of the gospel: see on Ephesians 4:25; Acts 1:22; Acts 22:4.; Acts 17:18; Acts 17:31, etc.
