I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. I WILL ALSO CAUSE ALL HER MIRTH TO CEASE, HER FEAST DAYS - of Jeroboam's appointment, distinct from the Mosaic (, "Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah"). But the feast of tabernacles in Jerusalem was on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, and the day of atonement on the tenth day. However, most of the Mosaic feasts, "new moons," and "sabbaths" to Yahweh remained, but to degenerate Israel worship was a weariness; they cared only for the carnal indulgence on them, "Saying, when will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat?"
