God here amplifies the ingratitude of the people, that they understood not whence came such abundance of good things. _She understood not_, he says, _that I gave to her corn and wine_. FOR SHE DID NOT KNOW - The prophet having, in summary Hosea 2:5, related her fall, her chastisement, and her recovery, begins anew, enlarging both on the impending inflictions, and the future mercy.
