And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Et ce serviteur, qui connaissait la volonté de son seigneur, et qui ne s’était pas préparé, ni ne l’a fait selon sa volonté, sera battu de plusieurs coups - sa culpabilité étant aggravée par l'étendue de ses connaissances.
