The _pains_ which such persons must take, the _separations_ which they must observe, and the _privations_ which, in consequence, they must be exposed to in the way of commerce, traffic, c., would prevent them from making an unlawful use of lawful things....

EXPOSITION RUNNING ISSUES FROM THE HUMAN BODY. These are the fourth cause of ceremonial uncleanness. We are not to look for a moral basis for the regulation on account of any vicious habit connected with such issues.
