Juan 16:11

Of judgment … judged Better, Concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world hath been judged(see on Juan 12:31 and Juan 14:30). As the world has had its own false views about sin and righteousness, so also it has had its own false standards of judgment.

The Advocate convicts the world of its error in this point also. The world might think that -the power of darkness" conquered at Gethsemane and Calvary, but the Resurrection and Ascension proved that what looked like victory was most signal defeat: instead of conquering he was judged. This result is so certain that from the point of view of the Spirit's coming it is spoken of as already accomplished.
