Matthew disregarded every hinderance, and gave up himself entirely to Christ, but yet did not abandon the charge of his own domestic affairs. Verse 29. _A GREAT FEAST_] δοχην μεγαλην, _A splendid_ _entertainment_. The word refers more properly to the _number_ of the _guests_, and the manner in which they were _received_, than to the _quality_ or _quantity_ of the _fare_. A great number of his friends and acquaintance was collected on the occasion, that they might be convinced of the propriety of the change he had made, when they had the opportunity of seeing and hearing his heavenly teacher....
