And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. AND HE SPAKE ALSO A PARABLE UNTO THEM; NO MAN PUTTETH A PIECE OF A NEW GARMENT UPON AN OLD. In Matthew and Mark the word employed [ agnafon (G46)] signifies 'uncarded,' 'unfulled,' or 'undressed' cloth, which, as it in apt to shrink when wetted, would rend the old cloth to which it was sewed: IF OTHERWISE - if he will do so unwise a thing, THEN BOTH THE NEW MAKETH A RENT, AND THE PIECE THAT WAS TAKES OUT OF THE NEW AGREETH NOT WITH THE OLD....
